Ingredients

  • 80 g porridge oats
  • 400 ml whole milk or half milk, half water
  • 1 pinch fine sea salt
  • 2 tbsp local honey Shop the Local Honey with Blueberry used in this recipe

Equipment

  • 1 Small saucepan
  • 1 Wooden spoon
  • 1 Bowls

Method

  1. Put the oats, milk and salt in a small saucepan.
  2. Bring to a gentle simmer over a medium heat, stirring so it does not catch.
  3. Cook for 5–7 minutes until thick and creamy.
  4. Take the pan off the heat. Leave it for a minute.
  5. Divide between two bowls. Stir a tablespoon of honey through each bowl, or leave a spoonful on top. Do not boil fruit-infused honey in the pan.

Notes

Fruit-infused honey goes on after cooking. High heat flattens the fruit.
If a raw jar has set, loosen it in a bowl of warm water with the lid on.
Not for infants under 12 months.
