This is banana creamed honey, not a supermarket “banana flavour” honey. The pot is local creamed honey from our own apiaries, blended in small batches with freeze-dried banana. No flavouring, no juice, no extra sugar. Honey and fruit. That is the whole list.
If you have not bought a jar like this before: it still spreads like honey. The banana is mixed through, so the colour is pale and you may see small pieces of fruit. Stir if they have risen. The taste is honey first, then a soft banana. It is not jam. Jam is cooked fruit with sugar.
We keep the batches small so the fruit stays even in the pot. That is the difference you pay for — not a longer ingredients list.
Use it as honey. Toast, a scone, yoghurt, porridge. Lid on, cupboard not fridge.
